Nothing

I have absolutely nothing interesting to say tonight.

I was watching the first episode of the new Top Gear series and as usual, the boys were very entertaining.  I’m really sad that I didn’t get to see them when they were here.  But seriously, who has money to pay the babysitter in Jan when you have 3 kids?

We have a little ritual at night:  the girls go to bed before D and they go and kiss him goodnight and do a little choir of goodnight wishes.  It is the cutest thing.  I can eat them up.  But God help them if the little shits wake me up again at 5h30 tomorrow morning.  Singing “teekle sta” nogals.  Ever try to lie between twins and really have to pee, but you really want another 5 minutes to lie in?

I’m also going for my first pilates lesson tomorrow.  I might not be able to type for the next few days so if you don’t hear from me don’t worry, I’ll be baaack.

  1. Daily rituals are so special. Brave woman to go to Pilates. Hope you strengthen your core, doll!

  2. I know that needing to pee in the morning feeling. I’m not between twins, but next to one who will wake up at the slightest movement.

    Enjoy pilates!

  3. That ritual sounds very sweet. My boys also say goodnight to each other very sweetly, no matetr what bickering has gone before.

  4. That sounds absolutely divine! I did Yoga once and after slithering home like a snake (lived two blocks away)I was down for three days! good luck.

  5. So cute, hope they continue to be best friends until adulthood!
Good luck with the Pilates, from what I hear, its great!

  6. I also try to get Connor to say goodnight to Tristan – doesn’t always work, but the thought is there! Then I con him that his big brother is sleeping so he will also go to sleep. Also doesn’t always work, but hey, at least I try!

As for waking up needing to pee – yup, I also try to be as quiet as possible so as not to wake anyone up! Always wait til the very last moment before I move though!

  7. Oh, that feeling of 5 more minutes…….
How lovely to have this ritual, I think part of Jess’s problems are because she is an only and doesn’t have this sort of thing in her life.
Will wait for the report back on the Pilates. xxxx

  8. It is hard to be the only child, but on the upside she gets ALL the attention and the two of you have such a special bond Shazzie!
