A friend of a friend who is in her late 30’s, divorced with two small children had leukemia last year and survived after a long battle. She was clean for 6 months and is now ill again. The only way she will get well is through a bone marrow transplant and the only donor they could find has decided she can no longer donate due to personal circumstances.
She posted a note on her status update on FB saying that the battles begins again and this is what one of her friends commented:
“you are taking this weight loss thing tooo far, I will always, repeat always have a smaller arse than you. Leukaemia is so last season, getting well is the new black, come on doll get healthy, lots of fun places I want to see with my favourite friend.”

All jokes aside, depending who it came from, a comment like that can cause chaos:/
I think that sort of humour is great when the people know each other well. Strength to her.
