A hubby post

I just re-read my post from yesterday and think I was a bit rough on the Taiwanese chick, she was lovely in the end, maybe she was just really shy first time ’round.  Apologies. 

I almost died of embarrassment as Daniel was over her like a rash.  She is in her mid-20’s and a skinny little thing and Daniel thought she was a playmate.  He was so badly behaved, pulling her hair and being a brat, we had to put him on time-out to calm him down.  And then he came back and pulled on her g-string that was peeping out the top of her pants.  OMG.  He gave her a wedgie.  The monster.

The friend that was here has been friends with hubby for almost 20 years and the 2 of them and a friend that now lives in Ireland did a trip to Thailand this time in 1999.  They were there for the Millennium and I was working in Hotels at that time, so no time off over the Festive Season.  The friend reminded us last night that hubby celebrated New Years’ with them and then went in search of a telephone to call me.  And proposed over the phone, from Thailand.  I was still at work as I had month-end, and I remember putting down the phone and saying to my boss “I’m not sure, but I think I’m engaged”

It also made me realise that this year will be our 10 year wedding anniversary and it blew me away.  We are closer now than we have ever been, even though I some days don’t know why he puts up with my shit, but he does and even more bizarrely, he loves me for it 🙂
