Apologies

to the German dude at the book and CD exchange at Rosenpark.  Yes, it was maybe not such a good idea to take my 3 toddlers into the shop.  Sorry!

BUT, they are good kids, I promise, just inquisitive.  So one day, when you get a personality (and hopefully, a life) you will see what I mean.  And just because half of the tornado has left the shop and silence has once again descended, doesn’t mean that there isn’t still someone (i.e. ME) left that can hear your comments.

Right, now that I have that off my chest, I start sharing my lovely weekend:

Off to Nadia’s 1 st birthday party yesterday, she has really grown up so nicely, I can eat her up.  If you are wondering who Nadia is, click here for the full story.  She is so well taken care of and such a little sweetie, love her to bits!

Then we had a friend’s birthday party which involved many glasses of pink bubbly, a LOT of children swimming and for the first time ever not bathing my children.  Hubby and I are both a little tender today, but we had a great time and we met loads of new people.  Doesn’t happen often.  I’d also forgotten how nice it is to go to other people’s houses and come home to a clean kitchen.  Must remember to try that again soon!

Then off to Stodels this morning where we fed some animals and Isabel screamed her head off as usual, she is petrified of animals, weird, as the other 2 are fine with animals.  Really makes you wonder about reincarnation..

Lunch was ribs and Daniel ate right down to the bone and pointed at it and said: “hier’s die pit Pappa”

Here is a pic of him, undercover:

  1. Love that coming home to a clean kitchen bit – we went out for christmas lunch and was SO great to come home to clean house!

  2. love his Danielisms ;-0
Please please please mail me the other photo’s of Nadia. Still haven’t figured how to get them off my BB

  3. Hopefully German dude is not a father or Grandfather to some innocent little children.

Love the “rib pit” comment, he is so cute.

  4. Love the Danielism and the “undercover” pic.
I really wish that people would keep their comments to themselves, so rude!!!
Can’t believe that Nadia is a year old already, she looks so lovely. xxxx

  5. LOL @ Daniel undercover! How cute!

Some people just don’t have a sense of humour, or any kids in their lives. Hope you won’t be visiting his store any time soon! (And not because of the kids).

Yay for having a great time – and a clean house when you returned home 🙂 Nothing better than that!

  6. It is my favourite secondhand bookstore, but they share premises with the German guy who sells secondhand DVD’s. I’ll just glare at him again next time, don’t you just love holding a grudge sometimes? 🙂
