Homeopath virgin

Well.  I am impressed.  Very impressed.

I took Isabel to a Homeopath this morning and I was, admittedly, quite nervous.  I think I babbled a lot and made many inane quips.  I wonder if she noticed?

You know when you take your child toddler hooligan to a doctor’s room where there is a lovely low table with about 40 000 little piles of brochures and you try to keep your voice even and not sound like the hysterical shrieking Mom you are?  I can usually carry it off for about 10 minutes, but after 15 minutes wait it was all wearing a little thin.  So we ended up kicking a round cushion around on the floor.  A lot less to clean up.  (And I also happened to notice that she kicked with her left foot!!)

Anyhoo, it was a thorough consultation and I even remembered to not say anything about the Allergex I feed them.  Occasionally.

And Isabel’s fever that comes and goes might be the Chicken Pox.  Jip, was in denial about that one.. Still am.  We left with 2 bottles, one for the snotty noses and one for the Pox and the noses are already a lot clearer, let’s see how they are tomorrow.

Funny little story:

I ordered hubby a book from Kalahari (in fact did most of my Christmas shopping at Kalahari) and he was nursing his “wish list” for weeks before he finally placed his order and he had ordered my Dad exactly the same book I bought him.  He has just had an email from them saying that the book is out of stock.  He is really annoyed as he was looking forward to borrowing it from my Dad when he was done with it. Hiehiehie.

  1. Glad your visit went okay! Think there might be something in alternative medicine!
LOL – your Hubby is going to be so impressed!

  2. Love the funny little story, hid hubbies gift in the garage next to the power tools, he never goes there.hehe. Only thing is i don’t wanna give it to him anymore. 🙁

  3. I would love to take my kids to a homeopath but my problem is that I’m very instant gratification and need it to work at the very least within 24 hours. I’m always afraid that the stuff they give will take too long to work.
Perhaps I should give it a try in the New Year. Your positive experience makes me feel a bit better about the idea.

  4. I love homeopathic remedies and rely quite a lot on my collection of Tissue Salts!
It is so good when you know that a surprise is going to be so well received hey!! xx
