Hubby told me this morning that M pointed her finger out to him with some peanut butter on it and he took a moment to sniff before licking the offending brown substance off her finger. Good thing he did..
Right, once you are done dry-heaving you can continue reading 🙂
I had to work late yesterday and came home to 3 hysterical children and a slightly less hysterical husband. The girls demanded to each sit on a leg and eat supper with me trying to wangle around them. I of course let them sit there because I felt guilty.
But folks, I’m really, really sorry. In almost 3 years I have not worked late once, so a month of dealing with me not being here at 5 pm on the dot twice a week is just going to have to do. And if it serves to convince hubby that we really do need live-in help, all the better!
Tonight I had to drop something off for a friend and DH called to say please come home asap, the girls are asking for you. And they did their best impression of the terrible two’s (times 2) when I got home, complete with stomping feet. Dinner was the same story and only after some quiet time away from the table did they agree to each sit on their own chair.
I feel flattered and guilty at the same time!
Working late again tomorrow and still trying to get everything wrapped up for Daniel’s party on Saturday…
mal oor die prente op jou blog
Sjoe, you have a lot on your plate! Good luck and I am holding thumbs that DH realizes that you all need help (if he doesn’t, ask for it)… I got help and I am more relaxed and feel less guilty.
Dankie 🙂
right now he probably needs more help than me 🙂
Mother’s Guilt is all part of the package
Wishing you all the best for Saturday! It will be awesome 🙂
You can really be grateful that he helps out (know of lots of husbands who just do nothing)…
LOL at the peanut butter. Your DH clearly has good instincts to sniff first. A few more evenings of the terrible twos on his own and I’m sure you’ll come home one evening to find live-in help already employed! Good luck with everything. You sound like you’re doing a Superwoman thing at the moment.
Eeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuww at the peanut butter! LOL! Yikes, you’re really doing a great job of this Superwoman thing, hey? Sterkte. I’ve been hinting VERY STRONGLY that I need a wife… I think DH has started the recruitmen process. I just can’t anymore.
True, he’s a keeper!
You know it sister!
Thanks Cazpi, I’m really nervous..
🙂
Thanks LL, not really, just feeling a little sorry for myself..
LOL at you need a wife. Good way to put it!
Only a pleasure, glad you get a giggle! 🙂
