Loooong weekend pic share

Happy Birthday for Tuesday Cams, have a great day!!!

Saturday avie, taking a break from jumping:

We have inserted the longer legs on the trampoline in the hope that they’ll stop putting their black bikes on and riding around on it.  To no avail.  Despite several time-outs and “team talks” (hubby’s term)

We were out late last night (Thanks Cams, we had a GREAT time!) and I could see it in the children today.  They were out of sorts the whole day.  Thus, our own fault.

The playroom is still a major pain in the bum, so we were trying to get everything sorted out that we stacked in my office.  Which meant the 3 children ran amok.  They eventually settled down with some play-dough.

Big mistake as it turns out.  Daniel point blank refused to pack away his mess and despite much begging and a time out, he steadfastly refused.  Out of pure desperation we threatened to not read to him or lie with him tonight and he was not moved.  Which obviously put us in a bit of a predicament, but I played the role of the resident bitch and made hubby stick to it.

Many, many tears later it eventually went quiet and this is what we found:

Breaks my heart.  What would you have done in this situation?

  1. Funny, Shaun also loves riding his black bike on the trampoline :). Kids, hey!!

Looks like they enjoy playing with dough!

  2. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and be the resident bitch. If you don’t, it will come back and bite you in the behind! It is so difficult, but something you had to do….

  3. ha ha our kids too – two black bikes on the trampoline riding round and round laughing. Sometimes even putting the bikes in the middle of the trampoline and jumping to see how high they can make them fly. Nuts. PS – I would’ve done exactly the same disciplinary methods you did – it’s tough but parents seriously need to stick to their guns sometimes – even when it’s really tough.

  4. Sometimes you have to stick with the decision,no matter how hard it is.
LOL at bikes on the trampoline, bunch of hooligans, but must be soooo much fun

  5. Black bikes on the trampoline? Hell no. Cancel that idea. AND it seems to be a general kid thing! No, we’ll stick to the driveway.

Well done for sticking to the bitchiness – I do it all the time, and only feel bad for a while! Like a day or two. It sucks, but you have to put your foot down! Not that it’s helped in my house – my two are still making me scream like a banshee every morning!

Kid sleeping on floor – what would I do? Let sleeping toddlers lie! Until they are way fast asleep, then move them to cot/bed. Sorry, I’ve learnt my lesson on moving a sleeping child!

  6. Minki’s black bike goes into the pool with her, along with her small camping chair and play pram and baby.

  7. LOL at your hubby’s “team talks”. Sorry your heart was broken but sometimes you just can’t give in. Oi!

  8. Yup the black bike goes everywhere! Even on the couch when he watches his daily ‘cars’ (Top Gear). Love the passed out little boy. I would just have scooped him up, given him a big fat wet one, put him in bed and sobbed in the shower.
