So, this morning we reminded Daniel that he needs to please dress himself and repeated the whole PJ story. (see previous post)
We took out his favourite clothes, brought it through so he could get dressed where we were busy. No luck. Moved on to the girls’ room to dress them and he followed, clothes in hand. No luck.
We refused to get angry because see WE HAD A PLAN, so I think he clicked that he wasn’t going to get a reaction from us. We just did the whole “broken record” thing with him.
And he got dressed. Oh My God. All by himself.
The coolest thing was the reaction when we got to school. His teachers made such a big fuss over him and high-fiving him. It was awesome. K: you rock!
Let’s see how tomorrow goes…
Yay! Go supermom
woohoo! 🙂
YAY Mom!
So there is a solution? I try to dress both of mine together in the TV room, so C can see big brother getting dressed and think it’s cool.
Ja, right.
Well done to D! And mommy for having a plan 🙂
Yay for Mommy! We have the suicidal mania about dressing every morning. Am convinced my son was a porn star in a previous life. This morning he was running around in wellies and a vest. nothing else. Took all sorts of bribing to get clothes on.
Well done!
Oh well done Mommy and Daddy. Super high five for Daniel, you are learning everything so quickly now. xx
Well done to al concerned….stick to your plan it works
whoohoo! well done!
I need your help, I need A PLAN. Minki is still not taking a bath, now its worse, she wants to stay in her dirty clothes – no pajammies, no fresh clothes.
(she will be one smelly kid soon)
Well done you!
LOL, lets see how it goes…
You are much more patient than me!
🙂
Mmmm. 2 options: either ignore it completely and she’ll eventually get tired of it or invite people over and tell them to make a fuss and tell her she stinks?
🙂
Yay for you! It’s wonderful when you get support from the school like this.
