I was going to do a long and whingey post about how miserable and downright bitchy some people on the blogs are at the moment (not Parent24 bloggers, thank goodness!), but that is just such a waste of energy.
Instead I will let you know that I feel like I’ve joined some secret wives-club. My darling, dearest hubby has (wait for it) the MF. Yep. The Man Flu. Can’t lift a finger. Went to the GP today and came home gasping that he has a fever. A whopping 37.5 fever. He is terminal. I had to turn away so I could quickly hide my smile and roll my eyes without being caught.
To all women out there that that I have smugly said to that MY husband doesn’t get the MF: I apologise. I hang my head in shame. Dear God, he can’t even tear open the Microwave Popcorn packet. <shudder>
I took the girls to their school today to suss it out. I think it went ok, we’ll see how Monday goes..
Herewith a pic of them at the school:

You poor poor woman. Three sick children simultaneously pales in comparison with MF! Do you have to hold the water to his mouth and support his head while he takes his medication? On a lighter note, your girls look darling exploring their new space. I’m sure they’ll feel right at home there in no time.
lol
I also read a lot of other blogs and some people are plainly rude and spiteful. Thats why i am here on SprogBlogs, peacefull, supporting bunch.
Don’t talk about man flu, Hubby nearly “passed on” last week from “severe” hayfever, stayed IN BED for 3 (yes, 3) days.
People are quick to be brave while hiding behind their computer screens. I’ve learned that fighting on the internet is the biggest waste of time.
Man flu… sigh. It’s one step away from Ebola. Good luck!
Deepest sympathies for the MF…. Your girls will be fine – they’ll be ruling the roost in no time!! Have a good weekend!
Hehehehe – men are such big babies. The girls look like they’ll love their new school.
Aah good luck – and that is why women have periods. Can you imagine going through man flu every month? I’d rather suffer through my PMS!
Ooh, I love a good fight – where shoudl I look? π
You have my enduring sympathy! My ex was pathetic….he was off work for 11 weeks after an op for ingrown toe nails (he is diabetic hence the long recovery) and it was hell as he couldn’t even walk anywhere. Funny he did manage to play darts every week though!
Good luck. xxxx The girls look happy already. xxxx
Oh poor you!!! Good luck copy with a big baby!! lol. men!
Sjoe, I’m glad sprogblogs are so laid back! If you can call all our kiddies stuff being laid back! I’m just not into getting worked up on the blogs π
You have my sympathies for the MF. I hope he makes a speedy recovery for your sake.
The girls look right at home there! Keep us posted on how they’re enjoying it!
: ) snap – my husband’s the same, hardly ever sick but when he is, oh my word!! Luckily I was pregnant and not him!
OMW hope you survive the Man Flu.
Good luck for Monday at the new school
Hope you had a marvelous, fantastic, shag-e-licious anniversary weekend!
Goodness, can you imagine pregnant men??
Thanks Rebecca, I agree!
π love the pic!
Grrr.. You are/were a saint for putting up with that!
Just generally picked up π
Thanks Shell, I’m quite nervous!
Lol, I considered warning them, but then they might not let us in the door!
gmpf!
Haha, he did gag on his medication – does that count?
Thanks for the good wishes!
