Random ramblings

Check out the MOB badge, how clever is Robi??

I had a gift voucher from Ackerman’s for the girls from their birthday and spent a rushed half hour shopping for winter’s clothes.  I love that you can spend not too much money and walk out of a shop with a big bag full of clothes!  You might think I am crazy, but I must confess, it is such therapy to cut off all the little tags and those little plastic thingies between the socks and pull the stickers off.  Sigh.

Lastly, every day I drive past this building in the Cape Town CBD that had a massive fire a while ago.  Sorry, the pic isn’t completely straight as it was taken out the car, but look closely.  How cool is that??

All the best for the upcoming holidays, the kids are all at home next week and then off to holiday camp the second week.  What are your plans?

  1. I shopped for the kids this past weekend. It is an amazing feeling to cut off all those tags and plastic thingies, so you are not silly :). I love the rush and satisfaction of being able to buy my kids new clothes and stuff!

    Pic is great!

    Have a great evening!

  2. I love the shopping each season for new things. I don’t get to take off the tags anymore, Jess does it herself. *sob* xxxx

  3. oooh yes … went shopping for munchkins winter stuff last weekend … VERY therapeutic!! Also love that you can walk out of Ackermans with a huge bag of stuff for not much 🙂 Still need a few more things … thinking of trying PEP next … my mum said they have some nice stuff now.

    Great pic!

  4. PEP stock wonderful little track suits, warm winter leggings, pajamas and winter body vests. All for small change.

  5. I love Ackermann’s little teddy bear shaped tags, I don’t throw it away, I have bags full of them (I know, pathetic!).

  6. Okay, I’m probably being dof but what am I supposed to see when I look closely? I also really like Ackermans children’s clothes.

  7. I was alsothinking of going to PEP, still need loads of PJ’s as I have to shop in triplicate..
