We have a view on the Durbanville Hills vineyards from our kitchen window and last week hubby and I were talking about how green they still are and how beautiful they look. They were a wonderful bright green.
Tonight I looked out and I was blown away at the change in colour – they are BROWN! It is amazing that there can be such a difference in just a week.
All of a sudden it is also darker earlier and there is a definite chill in the air. I underestimated the chill in the air this morning and ended up with sandals at work. My feet were freezing! (and the minute my feet are cold I am miserable!)

I know, you can feel winter is coming. Not a big winter fan, but at least its only 3 months. That’s the great thing about living in Africa!
Was watching the weather forecast last night and said to Hubby – “shame, poor people in Cape Town, its gonna rain this week-end AND a cold front is approaching” – so it will be a chilly one for you.
Last year I was on maternity leave the whole winter months. Lekker…

Noticed it at Altydgedacht when taking Mom to Tygervalley on Wednesday. Dark mornings make getting up at 5.30 a little harder!
