On Saturday we noticed Mignon had some bite marks in her neck and on her legs, they looked like flea or mozzie bites. She kept us up between midnight and 2am this morning and we were at our wits end. In the end we literally dipped her in calamine lotion, but by then she was wide awake and very pissed off with us. And she is already of the drama queen persuasion.
When we were trying to leave Kids Playzone yesterday morning she was screaming at the top of her voice “Nee Pappa!” and throwing herself on the floor. Luckily this doesn’t faze us in the least. Anymore.
This morning there were even more bites, so nanny took off all the bedding of both girls, gave it all a good vacuum and wash and put the mattresses in the sun. She says she found a single big, fat flea. My poor baby, I feel so bad! Can one flea do so much damage? And where could it have come from?
I took her to the chemist this avie as she was scratching and some of the marks were bleeding, so we got some good cream and anti-histamine syrup. Let’s see how tonight goes…
It doesn’t help that Isabel wakes up at sparrow’s fart these days either. Yawn. I’m off to bed now..
Shame, poor Mignon, hope she has a better night (and you!)
Thanks LL, hubby did most of the running. “evil grin”

Poor Poppet, those damn fleas are horrible. Yes, one can do so much damage. Hope she is better today. xx
