So, I’m the lucky winner of hernia surgery and a colonoscopy next week Friday. Yay. I am booked off work for 2 weeks and won’t be able to pick up any 17kg boys or 12 kg girls for 6 weeks.
What was quite scary was when I was asked to list all the operations I have ever had. I don’t consider myself as sickly, but looking back I have had A LOT of surgery, amongst which there was
removal of polyps, (don’t even ask)
removal of birthmark on my face (courtesy of my Mother when I was 5, was a biggie on my cheeck and she was cared the kids would tease me),
removal of wisdom teeth,
putting of screws in broken ankle (both tibula and fibula, remind me to do post on how this happened),
removal of said screws (yes, yes, I had a screw loose),
2 laparoscopies,
2 c-sections and
a previous colonoscopy because of pesky polyps
How many times have you been under the knife?
3x once when I was 2 for release of a trigger thumb, wisdom teeth and Shoulder Acromioplasty.Thats all have my tonsils and appendix still
shoot, forgot about my tonsils, but I think you get the message!
Don’t yours give you hassles?
1xC-Section and sterilization, Huge back op with bone grafts (my own hip bone), wisdom teeth, hernia, gall bladder removal, 4 molars that were growing roots in my sinus cavities. Enough?
By the way, was reading an extract from Natasha’s book in the You last night, think it is a book I will get!
Will be with you next Friday, in thought only I’m afraid, seen enough theatres for a while thanks. 😀
I had a silicone band put around my right eye for a detached retina (worst op ever), then 3 months later had contact lenses implanted in both eyes (best thing I ever did). Both in 2002. I had my appendix out when I was 21 (eina)! And my two c-sections. I also still have my tonsils, and get tonsilitis at least once a year!
