I have finally managed to negotiate a contract with my employer!
I officially resigned today and signed an independent contractor contract so I can do permanent recruitment for them, but on my terms and in my time.
It took me 6 months to get my head around the thought of not having a permanent job (yes, I’m a Capricorn) and then another 3 months of fighting to get what I wanted and then another month to get the actual contract sorted, but today I resigned and signed my contract. It did take a colleague to force me actually type out the letter and sign it and then call our manager to tell her that I will be giving her the letter TODAY, but it’s DONE!
Now I need to sort out a home office, a laptop, connectivity, my own insurance, start a company of sorts and find a tax consultant and figure out a lot of other stuff, but this is a whole new chapter in my life!
Bring it on!!
whooohooooo!
