November madness

Is it just me or is November crazy?  We have parties, get togethers, work functions, going away for a weekend and family stuff.  And then of course all the Christmas shopping to do.

Drives me nuts.  I think the silly season has moved to November from December.

We are also in the process of doing up a new room for the girls so they can move into their big girl beds.  My Mom found antique wooden beds for a song, we had new slats put in and then she passed them on to a friend who is painting them (I wanted them white and distressed)  My master plan was to put them in their beds for their afternoon naps for a couple of weeks before doing the big move, so that they are comfortable for Christmas, but it might not happen according to my well laid plans.

The friend has been taking weeks to get the painting done and has now buggered off overseas until next week, so I have to hurry up and wait.  Not happy..

On a happier note, I have been looking for fairy paintings for their room for absolutely ages that won’t leave me short of a limb, but I was at a craft market yesterday and came across the most beautiful pictures at a very reasonable price.  I called the lady and I should have them by next week. Yay!!  There’s nothing like that feeling when you have been looking for something for ages and then you find it.  I love it!

  1. There are lots of fairy fans on the 24 blog network. You’ll have to post some pictures when you get them.

  2. With us, it started in October already.
From the 1st weekend in October to the end of November, we have exactly 2 weekends with nothing planned, the rest is booked full! It’s exhausting!

Beds sounds lovely – pity you have to wait!

  3. Fairies are so great, they are real you know! 😀
I bought a huge fairy painting for Jess, framed and everything for around R250.00. My family overseas had sent money when she was born and now she has something to keep forever. xx

  4. Ahh loved doing up Tash room – we also did Fairies. Have not succumbed to high school musical / hannah montana except for the posters.
My Oct has been hectic and already 3 Nov weekends are planned!
