Attempted post

I’m going to try and get this post done standing at the kitchen counter whilst hubby has gone for a shower with the 3 children that have each dragged a chair closer to have a look.  Might have to come and edit later..

We went off to see Lollos at Oude Libertas yesterday and I lost hubby’s wallet.  I was paying at the entrance and was trying to juggle Isabel and the wallet and when we got to our seats it was gone.  GONE. I felt so bad!  And then you sit there with your 3 hungry and thirsty children for an hour and consider your options after having done about 10 walkabouts and asked around.  And accused the staff at the entrance of taking it.  The longest hour of my life!

So, we then cancelled all his credit and debit cards and lamented the lost cash, gift cards and driver’s license.  I thought he would be mad at me the whole day, but he was really good.  Makes me ashamed to say that I probably would have bitten his head off if the roles were reversed..

To cut a long story short, we were in the shops yesterday avie when my cell rang and is was Discovery to say that someone had called in to say that they had found the wallet and gave me their number.

Turns out, the person who had it was  buying tickets at the same time as me, but her wallet looks the same as hubby’s and she then put it her bag by mistake.  She only saw it late yesterday afternoon.  They felt so bad thay drove all the way from Stellenbosch to return it.  With everything in it. 

My faith in humankind is somewhat restored.

Ok, must dash, being bitten.  And am in potty training hell, but more about that later..
