I’m always rather careful to keep my head around things, but clearly I had lost the plot a little yesterday!
I dashed into the chemist on the way home lunch-time to collect my medicine and then, at Fruit and Veg yesterday, realised I must have left the credit card there, so I had to pay with another card.
Thank goodness the card was there, so I went to collect it yesterday, rather shamefaced, I might add, as this has NEVER happened to me before.
This morning my Mom and I did the Tygervalley run and visited a lot of shops (as you do). At my last stop I open my wallet to pay with my own card and the damn card’s missing. Overturn handbag, children and other shopping bags. No card. I then realised that I had probably left the thing at Fruit and Veg yesterday afternoon. Bugger.
Low and behold, I called them when I got home, card is there. I’m very, very lucky..

The thing is, surely the cashier is supposed to make sure to give it back to you? When they hand you your cc slip, they are supposed to give the card at the same time.

Wow you were lucky. My Mom did this in Waltons one Saturday morning, unfortunately someone not so honest found it, and they used her card in the same Waltons!! Obviously they don’t check signatures but they ended up having to pay her back as the only person who could have done it was the checkout lady. Needless to say they didn’t keep her on! xx
