I am fascinated by what my children will and won’t eat.
D will NOT let egg in any shape or form even touch his lips. I can boil it, scramble it, french toast it, hide it cheese and grill it in the oven. No way, he always tastes it and spits it out. The girls however, are obsessed. Whenever we eat egg we have to make them each their own egg. AND they will still beg scream ask for more.
D also loves peaches, but it might be because we let him throw the pips into the garden with all the other pips in the flower beds.
M eats like me. Low on the meat, loves vegetarian food such as lentils, chickpeas and quinoa. And salad. Lots of salad. And cheese.
I will eat roadkill if you would just cut it up into small enough pieces. She loves loves loves meat. And bananas. M gags just looking at a banana.
They all love fruit, rice cakes, strawberry cereal and pasta. Pasta is a rather new regular addition to the menu as we never used to eat it, but because they eat it, we make it more often. BUT I refuse to make 2 minute noodles, it’s mostly wheat free for all. We made them spaghetti bolognaise for supper tonight. And I went mad. She started with the bits of meat and then moved on to the spaghetti. I specifically didn’t cut it up as I wanted to see what they would do. She ate all hers and then polished off M’s plate as well. Here she is, hard at work:

I love that they all went to bed with full tummies tonight, I do worry the nights when they don’t eat, but we try not to make it a big issue. Daniel has rules though because he is bigger: no supper, no snack.
It must be a juggle meeting all these different taste buds! Hats off to you
Sjoe, such different tastes. Good for you managing to satisfy all those preferences. And I thought it was difficult having to do non-dairy, non-soya for Baby K.
I will go crazy if I had to cater to such different tastes. Luckily both my kiddies eats everything and anything. Shaun loves ANY veggies and meat. Lee-Anne (9months) refuses to eat any baby food and now enjoys “real” food.
You are a great mommy to cater for everyone’s unique taste requirements.
Very interesting! I would love to know how it works.
Does identical twins have the same bloodgroup?
Cute photo as usual!
She’s certainly tucking in happily!
she looks like she is definitely enjoying that meal ๐ and yes … really well done for managing those varied tastes … not sure if i could manage it …
Wow, she is really enjoying this Mom!
This is when I am glad I only have one child, don’t know if I could deal with the assorted likes/dislikes in the food department. xxxx
Now there’s a work of art ๐ Looks like a scene from our house! We also have varied tastes – Tristan will eat mac & cheese every night if he can, Connor’s not such a big fan, and he also gags on meat. From eating EVERYTHING on his plate, he’s now become fussy. I find it hard trying to find something to please everyone! Frustrating.
Good to find something they all love…mine also love spagetti
