I had a meeting on Greenmarket square today and I must confess, despite working about 10 minutes walk away I haven’t been there in about 6 years.
What a shock I got. Gone are the cheap weirdy clothes and kick-knacks. Gone is Sgt Peppers. <Sniff sniff> (All I saw was tourist crap – quite sad.)
What I did encounter was this man below. No lies, I took the pic on my cell phone 🙂
On his head are actual egg shells and balanced on the drum is an actual telephone. To the right you have tourists giving him money.
You gotta love Cape Town!
Very cool character,used to love catching the train to Ct when I first came here,we used to spend whole morning at Green market Square,pity it’s all changed 🙁
We also used to bunk class when I was at Stellenbosh and take the train!
And the shredded pick and pay packets add a touch of class – hehehehe
Too weird – they had a segment on this guy on TV last night (well if it wasn’t him it was a good look-a-like!)
