The Vega test

Daniel and I went for our Vega tests yesterday and it was really interesting.  I’ll have the full report next week when I go back to the dietitian, but I already have a good idea what to expect.

I was up first and there are definitely problems with my stomach, she could pick up through some of my hormones that I am very tired and I have a serious Vit B12 deficiency.  I’m interested to see what the report says on Tuesday.

My Mom went to collect Daniel from school for his test and I invited her in.  I then asked her whether she has seen this before, as I know that she loathes any form of therapy that is remotely alternative.  (If she knew that I have done Reiki she would have heart failure.)  Anyway, she says yes, she has had a Vega test done, but she “threw the piece of paper out”.  With this dismissive little wave of her hand.  In front of the woman doing the test.  O. M. G.  I almost died of embarrassment.  I did make a comment about it in passing to her later, but her attitude lately is that she can do what she wants and I must just get over it.  Yes, we have a love/hate relationship.

But I digress.  Daniel’s wheat, lactose, nut and citrus allergies didn’t show up, but this is purely because we have eliminated those things from his diet anyway, so it apparently won’t register.  He does however have a severe intolerance to Almonds.

We have decided to slowly start re-introducing some things and we bought our first bag of oranges of the winter yesterday.  The teacher almost kissed me this morning when I took an orange out of his bag!  Shame, they have been very good at the school.  We’ll try some citrus this week, see how it goes and then try some peanut butter next week.  I’m not going to rush out and buy him a white bread as we already know that he reacts really badly to wheat!

Last thing I had a good laugh at was that he isn’t allergic to cats and dogs, but he is sensitive to mice.  Phew.  At least I have a valid reason why he can’t get any form of rodent.  Now I just have to think up a reason why he cannot have a snake.  Yes, he has already asked for one.

  1. How about he can’t have a snake because they eat rodents…and since he’s not allowed to keep rodents he can’t feed his snake

  2. I always wanted a snake but my mom wouldn’t let me, in case the other snakes in the neighbourhood came to visit it. Um… Mom?

  3. Sorry if I am a bit thick, but what is a Vega test? It sounds like something that Jess and I need to do. xx

  4. Absolutely! Follow the link on my post and contact the Durbanville Homeopath, will get you the number and send it on!
