I am happy to annouce that our son only woke up to take himself to the bathroom at 04h00 this morning and then wandered straight off to bed without any demand for parental assistance.
All by himself.
See, it pays to be the resident Bitch and Enforcer of All Rules. I’m just going to stop wringing my hands now in the hope that he’ll forgive me one day and not turn into a serial killer…
But, as with all things parenting, Mignon woke up at 04h01 and we spent the next hour and put her back in her bed a gazillion times. She slept in our bed from 05h00.
Sigh.

This parenting gig is all about swings and roundabouts, babe. What you gain on the swings, you lose on the roundabout. Maybe one day/night they’ll all be in sync and I bet that’s the night you wake up and check that they’re all still breathing!
