Spray story cntd

The school had an open day on Saturday, so I chatted to the Directress and apparently they did speak to the farm and the health department and they never let the kids outside when they are spraying.

(I just want to add that there is a fence between the vineyards and the classrooms and play area)

The long and the short of it is that they need to do more testing and that the general feeling is that there isn’t any immediate danger, but that they cannot comment on any future carcinogenic properties of the spray as yet.

I would be happy if they don’t spray at all when they children are at school, rather do it over weekends or in school holidays.

I do respect the fact that it is a working farm, but it should be a healthier option …

  1. I agree, I don’t think that it is a great ide spraying so close to the kids!
How often do they do the spraying??

  2. I also agree, no can do with the spraying while the kids are at school. They can do it in the afternoons.
